On 28 February 2023, RARE DISEASE DAY will be celebrated around the world to raise awareness of the 300 million people living with rare diseases.

But what many affected people do not know: There are highly specialised centres of excellence, such as the European Reference Network for Rare Liver Diseases (ERN RARE-LIVER) – a network of medical centres of excellence initiated by the European Commission in 2017 for the diagnosis and therapy of those affected, both children and adults, which is based in Hamburg.

But what exactly is the ERN RARE-LIVER and how can it help its patients?
