Researchers at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), Germany, have developed a new method to better understand the energy production of human cells. Defects in this process lead to serious and often fatal disorders that can affect skeletal muscle and nerve cells as well as the heart. The results have been published in the renowned journal “Science”.
