Scientific Reports publication: HHU biologists increase longevity of cut flowers

In perfect time for St. Valentine’s Day, plant researchers at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf (HHU) have introduced a new, synthetic peptide that can delay the wilting process of cut flowers. They published their findings on what is referred to as ‘senescence’ in the current edition of the multidisciplinary, open access journal Scientific Reports.
