60 years of neutron research in Garching – The "Atomic Egg" celebrates is 60th birthday

On October 31, 1957, the Munich research reactor FRM went online for the first time. Until 2000, the “Atomic Egg” of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) was a reliable provider of neutrons for basic research and medical applications.
