Link discovered between rare form of anemia, cancer

More than 20 percent of people affected by Diamond-Blackfan anemia, a rare disease, develop various types of tumors throughout their lives. Now researchers have created the first animal model with this type of anemia that also recapitulates the predisposition to cancer.
